These Terms explain the rules for using Alpha SELF.eu, including tests, accounts, the community, events, resources, the “Self-Esteem” programme, trainer tools and partner areas. If you are under 18 and something is unclear, ask a trusted adult or contact us at support@alphaself.eu.
1. Short version
By accessing Alpha SELF or creating an account, you agree that: you will use the platform respectfully and safely; you will answer tests honestly; you will not use Alpha SELF for bullying, harassment, manipulation or inappropriate recruitment; you understand Alpha SELF provides education, community and guidance, not medical diagnosis; scores and archetypes are guidance tools, not fixed labels; anonymised/aggregated data may be used for reports, press, funding and impact measurement; we may moderate, restrict or suspend accounts that put others at risk.
If you do not agree, do not use Alpha SELF’s interactive services.
2. What Alpha SELF is
A platform and community for young people who want to better understand self-esteem, voice, identity, social pressure and belonging. It may include: the Alpha SELF test, personal profile and indicative scores, archetypes (Visionary, Creator, Ambassador, Protector), the “Self-Esteem” programme, missions, online and offline events, local communities, educational resources, surveys for trainers/partners, internal dashboards and aggregated public reports.
3. Who can use Alpha SELF
- Young people aged 16–24: the platform is mainly designed for this group. At 16–17, for some offline activities we may ask for parent/guardian consent.
- Under 16: we do not intentionally collect data through the main test. You may read public resources but must not create an account without parental consent and a dedicated flow.
- Trainers, mentors, facilitators: complete a dedicated profile and survey; acceptance is not automatic and may require interview, documents and a code of conduct.
- Partners: companies, schools, NGOs, universities, authorities, sponsors and media may use public sections and request access to dedicated areas.
4. What Alpha SELF is not
Alpha SELF is not a medical service, therapy, clinical counselling, an emergency service, a diagnostic tool, or a replacement for a psychologist/doctor/counsellor. Questions may touch sensitive topics for education and guidance, not diagnosis. If you are in immediate danger, call 112 or contact a trusted adult.
5. Your account
Some features require an account (saving results, communities, missions, events, trainer applications, partner dashboards). Provide accurate information and keep your access safe. Do not use someone else’s account or create false identities. Unauthorised access? Contact support@alphaself.eu.
6. Community rules
We do not allow: bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, explicit sexual content, inappropriate requests, emotional manipulation, promotion of self-harm/violence, publishing others’ data, filming without consent, spam/fraud/phishing, fake accounts or unauthorised political/commercial promotion. We may moderate content, block users or report serious situations to authorities.
7. Tests, scores and archetypes
Tests may generate scores and recommendations (general score, confidence, belonging, autonomy, social pressure, perceived support, primary/secondary archetype, mission/resource recommendations). Results are indicative, not a verdict on who you are. We may update scoring logic as the methodology improves.
8. Surveys and research
Data may be used for aggregated public reports, media, social research, CSR projects, European funding, designing events and evaluating the programme. Public materials will not publish your name, contact details or directly identifying answers without separate, explicit consent.
9. Alpha SELF events
Online or offline (workshops, circles, training, debates, CSR activations). Respect trainers and the space, do not film others without consent, do not share others’ stories, follow safety instructions and tell a trainer if you feel uncomfortable. Some events may have extra rules, including parental consent for minors.
10. Trainers and mentors
Additional obligations: follow the code of conduct, do not provide diagnosis/therapy unless authorised, no inappropriate relationships, respect confidentiality, refer sensitive cases and report risks. We may suspend access in case of risk or breaches.
11. Your content
You remain the owner of your content, but you give us the right to use it as needed to operate the platform. For testimonials, stories or public photo/video we request separate consent. Do not submit content you do not have rights to use.
12. Alpha SELF content
Texts, graphics, logo, methodology, scores, archetypes, training materials and resources belong to Alpha SELF or its partners. You may use them for personal learning but not copy, sell or republish them without written permission.
13. Partners, sponsors and CSR companies
Partners may support events, research, local communities, trainers, resources, impact reports and campaigns. Partners do not receive individual personal data of young people unless there is a clear legal basis and separate notice. Normally they receive only aggregated data and impact indicators.
14. Prohibited uses
You must not: break the site or accounts, collect data about other users, use bots without permission, submit mass false responses, manipulate results, sell community access, use Alpha SELF for inappropriate recruitment, send illegal/dangerous content, bypass security or upload malware.
15. Suspension or account closure
We may limit, suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, put others at risk, send abusive content, create fake accounts, harm security, or a legal request requires it. You may request closure at support@alphaself.eu.
16. Platform availability
We try to keep Alpha SELF available and safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or remove features for security, maintenance or legal compliance.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Alpha SELF is not liable for decisions made solely on scores, misinterpretation of results, user-generated content, third-party behaviour, technical interruptions or indirect losses. This does not exclude liability where the law does not allow exclusion.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For important changes we announce on the site, in the account or by email. The latest update date appears above.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, subject to applicable European Union law. Disputes are first resolved amicably; otherwise according to applicable law.
